Whether you intend to teach yoga professionally or wish to expand your personal practice, this course will give you a solid foundation to build upon and a deeper understanding of this 5000 year old science of the body and mind.
Hatha Yoga is the physical practice of Yoga. This 200 hour level certification is the foundation of Hatha Yoga.
Students will learn:
- Teaching basic postures (asana) with modifications and adjustments
- Anatomy and Physiology
- Meditation (Dhyana)
- Breathing techniques (Pranayama)
- Teaching Methodology
- History and Philosophy
- Yogic Lifestyle
- Basic Sanskrit Terminology
- The Business of Yoga.
This intensive course will span over 18 days and class time will be comprised of 2 daily physical practices, theory and meditation. Students will also be required to assist Kelly with adjustments in yoga classes, complete a research project and serve several hours of karma yoga. Students will collectively teach a community yoga class to be supervised and critiqued by Kelly.

Yoga Alliance is one of the most widely accepted certifications, recognized internationally as setting some of the highest standards and curriculum for registered yoga teachers all over the world. Upon completion of this training, students will have met these standards and will be qualified to register with the Yoga Alliance as a 200 hour level Registered Yoga Teacher (R.Y.T) having the certifications, knowledge, skills and confidence to teach yoga in a variety of settings such as: yoga studios, health and fitness clubs, resorts, retreats, chiropractic and physical therapy clinics, hospitals and with private clients. |
